Creating a Poinsettia out of leaves!
Nothing makes me more excited than when you can use a particular stamp designed for one thing and create something entirely different. I saw a poinsettia created using the leaves from the Rooted in Nature stamp set and I just had to give it a try. Isn't it the coolest!
So simple, stamp a bunch of leaves in Real Red and arrange them in a circle and whala, you have a poinsettia flower.
Today's CASE (copy and selectively edit) was inspired by the Painted Harvest sample in the catalog on page 139. I couldn't wait to try making these poinsettias I had seen on Pinterest.
Just in CASE Series:
Each Thursday my Border Buddy Alison Solven from Canada and I share a card on our blogs that we have CASEd from the catalog. CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit).
We like to show you how you can use the paper crafting projects in the Stampin’ Up! Catalogs to inspire you! Or maybe even copy it exactly, or tweak it by changing the colors and or even the stamp set. But remember if you go too far you just created your own card.
I also provide a downloadable PDF Card Tutorial with images, supply list, measurements and stamp by step directions.

Love it. I’ve been playing with all my Christmas stamps and just haven’t found what I’m excited about. Can’t wait to share this gem. Love getting more from a bundle and you did it. Thanks for sharing.

Good morning, Patsy. Awesome! Your card is just absolutely awesome! I have been on the fence about getting the “Rooted in Nature” stamp set; but, I think you just tilted the odds in favor of getting it. Thank you for sharing your time, talents, and creative imagination with us. (I know I never would have thought to do that!)
