Sometimes when a New Occasions Catalog comes out, we forget about some of the golden jewels in the Annual Catalog. I have combined an oldie but goodie stamp set Coffee Cafe with some new designer paper from the Occasions Catalog, Tutti-frutti.
It is not lemonade season here in Minnesota, but it is still one of our Grandchildren's preferred beverages, so we had it over the Holidays.
As I am writing this post, I think…
- Maybe I should have put the lemonade glass on a different colored background.
- Made the cup cover a different color like Crumb Cake.
But since I don't have enough time to make the changes before publication your imagination will have to take over. What are your thoughts?

Do you ever spend time making a card and when it is all done think something just isn't right but not sure how to change it? This happens to me often even after 20+ years of stamping.
What do you do when this happens, try to fix it, start Over or just send the card the way it is?

Good morning, Patsy. When I start overthinking a card, I usually try to get another person’s input. If I have enough time, to re-make the card, I will re-make it. However, if I’m sending the card to a family member, I will send it as is. Then make the same card in different colors or whatever to another person. So, all in all, it’s good either way.

I agree that either the lid, or the background, should be a different color. The white-on-white makes the lid disappear, but I’m not sure which change would look better. Sounds like an opportunity for some experimenting…too bad time was not on your side this time. I have been “crunched” into sending a few cards that weren’t quite what I would have preferred, but told myself, “It’s the thought that counts”.

Hi Patsy, if you used fast fuse it might be hard to take it apart. So starting over would be good, if you have time. I agree the lid and background color could be different. But otherwise a cute card.

Yep, I agree…….the lid just sort of fades into the background. I have those problems too. If I have the time I will re-work the idea but there has been a time or two that the card has been mailed as is!! Like someone else suggested……it is the thought that counts! 🙂

Sometimes I have to put a card away for a few days and then look at it again. I usually ask my hubby and he is pretty honest with me –

On the card in person there is more dimension to the lid didnt look bad but as I was posting the picture, it disappeared. Sometimes they just have to be what they are.

I do use fast fuse so rarely am I able to take it apart sometimes with snail I can. It had more dimension in person so didnt really notice it so much till I started to post the photos.

It is the thought that counts. It is good to know this happens to me too. Sometimes readers think everything I do turns out but often times I have as much in the trash as completed.
