Does everyone love easy? Two-step stamping is one of the easiest ways to give your card multiple colors. It is so quick and easy and no coloring involved.
Mixed Drinks is one of many two-step stamp sets that Stampin' Up! sells. It involves stamping a couple of different stamps to create one image. One of the benefits of two-step is added color without coloring. Photopolymer stamps make lining up easy because of the ability to see through the stamps.
- In the first photo, they have stamped the glass, sentiment & ice cubes using three different stamps.
- You can see in the second photo they have stamped the solid stamp in Daffodil Delight Classic Ink creating the lemonade in the glass.
- In the photo to the right, they have stamped the straw in Berry Burst Classic Ink.
The stamping for the glass and sentiment actually was done using 5 different stamps.
- Glass Outline
- Ice Cubes
- Sentiment
- Lemonade
- Straw
The background of the card was stamped using Daffodil Delight Classic Ink on the Daffodil Delight card base.
The final touch to the card was adding some of the 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon in Berry Burst. I love this ribbon as while it is a bit wider it is so soft and easy to tie and lays nicely. The also added a bow using Whisper White Baker's twine and attaching it with a glue dot.
While lemonade season may be one it's way out here in Minnesota, it is still a favorite of our granddaughters when we go out to eat.

I vote with your granddaughters. The card with the lemonade is really sweet. Thank you for sharing your time, talents, and imagination with us.

I like your cards and the colors but I’m not a fan of the two.step stamping. Mine end up crooked. 🙁

It is okay if they are not totally perfect. If you love the look you may want to try the stamp positioner it’s inexpensive and such a great tool for linking up things even sentiments. Otherwise it is totally ok if they aren’t perfect
