Ideas for Birthday Cards

Are you always looking for an Ideas for Birthday Cards? Indeed it is the card I need most often. For that reason, today I am going to share a birthday card using the Hues of Happiness Suite of products.

Card Sketches like the one today (SS081) help get my creativity going. Each Sunday I create a card using one of my card sketches and share it with you. You can create a card exactly using the sketch layout or change it up a bit. For instance you can turn your sketch from portrait to landscape for a totally different look. Let your imagination run wild!

Hues of Happiness Suite

My focus today is the Hues of Happiness Suite of Products by Stampin’ Up! which includes the beautiful designer series paper, the Glossy Dots, and the Happiness Abounds Bundle are all part of the suite.

This is a super easy card to make. Basic White Thick Cardstock makes up our cardbase (5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″) folded in half. Circles are cut out using the Layering Circle Dies and placed in the center of the card.

Several of the papers from the Happiness Designer Series Paper can be cut out using the dies. The center image shows the dies and the image on the right shows them cut out using the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.

You can see the flowers and leaves I cut out from the paper and layered around the left-hand side of the circles. As well as the finishing touches on the card with is a Pool Party Sheer Ribbon Bow and a couple of the Glossy Dots. Happy Birthday comes from the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set along with some other amazing sentiments.
