This was our Son’s Happy Birthday Card this year. Paul was born 5-6-78 and was the 10th baby born that month. Sailboats bring back lots of wonderful memories for our family. We spent lots of summer days on the water.

You can see by the non waves on the water this sailing night was a fail. It started out with a nice breeze but then it disappeared. Tom’s dad was in the navy and we thought he would like a ride in the boat. The kids were going to go out on the bow and we said get your life jackets and Tom’s dad said bring me one – no bring me two. We didn’t know he couldn’t swim and was not all that excited about being on the water. Such fond memories.

Combine the stamped images, then use the punch to cut them out quickly. It’s that easy to create the sailboat and you won’t need any wind to sail this one.
Sailboat builder punch tips

First you are going to punch the end of a piece of cardstock that is 2 3/4″ x 3 3/4″. Then set the stamps face down like a puzzle on top of the punched out piece as shown in the image.

Then lay your clear block on top and press down so the stamps cling to the block. To ink up the stamps simply color each stamp with desired Stampin’ Write Markers. Then stamp the image on another piece of of 2 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ piece of Basic White Cardstock.

You can see the stamped images is the same as the punch upside down.

Slide the paper in the punch line up and punch! Super easy and you only have to stamp once and punch once when using this technique.
