Just in CASE Series this week features the Awesome Otters Stamp Set. Each Thursday I choose a card out of one of the current Stampin’ Up! Catalogs and CASE it. CASE stands for Copy And Selectively Edit.

You can copy it exactly, or edit it by changing the colors or the stamp set or both. Here I used all the same elements except the stamp set.
You can find all kinds of inspiration on blogs, Pinterest, the Stampin’ Up! catalog and more. My goal is to show you how you can be inspired by samples from the catalog. If you don’t have the exact same items you can substitute like I did here.

Demonstrating in this card how you do not always have to color an outline stamp. Simply punch a piece of cardstock using the Tailored Tag Punch to create a stencil of sorts. Then place it on the cardstock with the image showing through the punched window. Apply ink to your Blending Brush and in a circular motion apply the ink.
Rather than using a background paper I simply stamped with the same color ink as the Polished Pink card base, giving us a tone on tone effect.

just in case series

Cardbase is Polished Pink cardstock is 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ and folded in half. The Basic White cardstock is 2 3/4″ x 4 1/2″. Thanks a bunch for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day.
