Today’s CASE card features the Hand Penned Petal Stamp Set. This set is featured in the Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalog and has some beautiful designer paper to go with it.

CASE stands for Copy and Selective Edit. You can copy it exactly, or edit it by changing the colors or the stamp set or both. You can find all kinds of inspiration on My Blog, Pinterest, in the Stampin’ Up! catalog and more. My goal is to show you how you can use the papercrafting products you already own to CASE a card you like.

The card on the left is the sample on page 13 of the Annual Catalog. The card on the right is my CASE card. My CASE has the same layout, cardstock, inks and embellishments. The Stampin’ Up! card uses the Art Gallery Stamp Set and I used the Hand Penned Stamp Set.
First step in casing is finding a card you like. If you don’t have the stamp set used in the sample substitute one of your own in similar size.

As shown above the Hand Penned Stamp Set (155492) also has a coordinating die set (155557). Purchase the stamp set and dies in a bundle (155492) and save 10% on both. Dies make cutting out stamped images a breeze. Most of the images can be cut out using the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. Remember that if you don’t have a die cutting machine you can always fussy cut.

For the card base I used Crumb Cake Cardstock cut 5 ½” x 8 ½” and scored at 4 1/4″. Added some polka dot paper (3 ¼” x 5 1/8”) from the Pattern Party Designers Series Paper. Finishing it of with the sentiment stamped in black on a piece of Balmy Blue Cardstock (7/8″ x 2 1/2″) and some Artistry Blooms self adhesive sequins.
