Had so much fun making this week’s Just in CASE card using the Floral Square Dies by Stampin’ Up! Each Thursday my Border Buddy Alison Solven from Canada and I take turns finding a card that inspires us from a current Stampin’ Up! catalog. Then we CASE the card and love showing you how you can use the ideas in the catalog to inspire you. What does CASE stand for? Copy And Selectively Edit or some might say Copy And Share Everything.

my case card
When you CASE, you can copy it exactly, or selectively edit it by changing the colors or the stamp set or both. You can see both are Christmas cards with the same color palette, but that is where the similarities end. The concept artist card is orientated portrait style, while today’s CASE is landscape. Have you heard the term portrait and landscape in relationship to stamping? You can see by the photo that portrait is more narrow and tall while landscape is longer and shorter.

Since today’s card is not a traditional hand stamped card size A2, it was necessary to hand make a special coordinating envelope. The card measurement is 6” x 6 ½” and folded in half for a finished 3” x 6 ½” card. Sometimes it is fun to venture out of the norm.

color palette
The color palette for todays card is Basic White, Real Red, Mossy Meadow and Old Olive. Then I added some Gold Foil, Red Rhinestones and Simply Elegant Trim for a WOW! The pattern paper is from the Heart Warming Hugs Designer Series Paper package and provides a great background for the squares

The All Squared Away stamp set was not intended for Christmas. But you can see how using Christmas colors and the sentiment makes a great Christmas Card.
It is never to early for planning Christmas Cards. By planning a head you can enjoy the time closer to Christmas. This card with all its elements is one you would want to create for a few special friends.

Patsy, Love your CASE much better than the original! A great idea using small flowers or small flower punches. Truthfully, I never would have thought of doing that. Thank you so much for sharing your time, talents and awesome ideas with us.
Thank you Barb I am glad you like it. I really love these square elements. Thank you so much for your continued support of my blog it is greatly appreciated without reader friends like you I couldn’t do what I love.
