It is pretty early to ask if you are ready for Christmas, and if you are WOW, I am just starting to think about it.
The "Are You Ready for Christmas" stamp set is so stinkin' cute and was really fun to play with. This card is almost an exact CASE out of the Holiday Catalog.
I colored this with the watercolor pencils which are a bit more subtle than the Stampin' Blends. It would be fun to color it with the Stampin' Blends to see the difference. The Blends are much more vibrant.
You can see the how some of the items pop up with using dimensionals giving more interest to the card.
This stamp set along with the coordinating Christmas Staircase Thinlits Dies has an amazing tree. The tree in this project was made using the Dies.
As we decorate our Christmas tree I am filled with so many memories. When the kids where small each Christmas we gave them an ornament that reminded us of them, a tradition we have carried on. We would decorate the tree with those ornaments and all the handmade ornaments they made.
When Paul got married 18 years ago I boxed up all his ornaments and gave them to him for his own tree. I thought for the first time I am going to have a designer tree with everything all matching and beautiful. As I set up the tree a deep sadness came over me, it was pretty but it didn't hold all my memories.
That Christmas as I opened the gift from our son, my eyes begin to fill with tears as I read the sweet note. The box was filled with all his childhood ornaments along with his note that said they just didn't seem right on his tree, they belonged on mine. That is one of the most wonderful gifts I have ever received.
Here are his first pair of shoes that have hung on our tree for almost 40 years. I will share some more fun ornaments and memories as we prepare for this wonderful season of Christmas.
Patsy, my favorite Christmas memory is a more recent event. My middle child and her family came home for Christmas. I had worked a number of years on a family tree type of album and had finally finished (all three) book(s) in time for Christmas. The look on her face as she turned the pages was priceless! On a side note, I had, also, given my three children and eight grandchildren a store bought ornament for Christmas for many years. This way they could have a memory to hang on their trees when they moved out on their own. Thank you for asking about our favorite Christmas memories. It brought a smile to my face and warmed my heart.
These ideas are great!!!! My Christmas memories all involve simply times with family (and lots of it!)
Yes, those ornaments that the kids & my Mom made over the years are my favorite memories. We have also collected ornaments from our many travels over the years & they also remind us of all the places we have been lucky enough to travel to & see the beauty in our wonderful USA. I also make ornaments each year for my daughter, hoping that she will have the same memories over the years as well. The Holidays are such a wonderful time of traditions & memories of family past & present.
My favorite memories are spending the time with my children and husband. Especially going to their Christmas programs at church. Also hanging their precious ornaments on the tree each year, priceless!

Our sons church has so many children they cant do all the programs at the same time – so one is on a Sunday Morning and the other in the afternoon you also have to get there very early if you want a seat! But I wouldnt miss them for the world.
My most favorite Christmas memories revolve around my childhood. We would have Santa Clause at our house, then get dressed and travel to my Aunt’s first one year and have Christmas lunch then over to my grandmothers for dinner that night. There were always plenty of relatives at both places and food and fun abounded. As we aged we hit one family at Thanksgiving and the other at Christmas. Sure made it easier. Our families were very simple people but the trees cut down from around the farm and simply decorated made the holiday so special. It is almost a shame we have to grow up 🙂

Such a sweet story of your childhood memories at Christmas Love hearing about it Dee. Life seemed so much simpler then – I wonder if our parents thought so. Â
