I am wild about the stamp set "Wild About Flowers". How about you? It is easy to use and every card I make with it I love. While the sentiments in the set may not fit every occasion, if you know anyone retiring or starting out on a new adventure it is perfect.
I needed a Thank You card so I grabbed my Thankful Thoughts stamp set and used those for this card. I really love how it crisp an image they stamp.
- The card base is Soft Sky with a layer of designer paper from the By The Shore Designer Series Paper.
- I choose to use Very Vanilla for the tag which I punched the end with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.
- The two ink colors are Dapper Denim & Mint Macaron
I only used the two ink colors for this card, I just off stamped the Dapper Denim to achieve a lighter blue image.
Off stamping is when you ink up your stamp and then stamp it on a piece of scrap paper before you stamp your image. You can off stamp multiple times to achieve different shades with the same color ink.
Sometimes you off stamp on scrap paper but sometimes off stamping can be re- stamping your project to make different shades. Check out the card I made a while back using this technique with a similar stamp set.
I finished of the flowers with the smallest pearls from the Basic Pearls embellishments. The ribbon is the Ruched Dapper Denim ribbon tied with a little piece of Linen Thread. Don't forget to stop back Thursday and see what card I CASEd this week.
I haven’t been to your blog in a very long time. I know, shame on me! I just had to say how much I love this card! It’s just so soothing and beautiful!
