Today is the day that I spend with my senior stamping friends at the assisted living home. It is always so much fun to see the excitement they get and the feeling of accomplishment when they have stamped a card.
Sometimes it is hard to create cards that will be easy enough for them with some of the challenges they have like arthritis in the hands, limited vision and even some with memory loss.
Clean and simple cards but yet looked like we fussed is my goal. I am going to show you the cards we made and then share a stepped up version of the same card.
They loved the first card we made using the Stampin' Up! Jar of Love stamp set. It was a great conversation starter with each one of them sharing memories of canning in the "good ole days". This is a simple one layer card.
Here is the card stepped up with a few additional layers and rather than stamping the flower directly on the card front, for this card I stamped them and then cut them out with the coordinating Everyday Jars Framelits.
The second card is a very quick and easy card and the WOW on this card is the Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper.
It is a little hard to see in the photo, but this paper has a gold foil accent that really shines. The stamp sets we used for this card are the Flower Shop & Petite Posies stamp sets. They both have coordinating punches making it a snap to stamp and punch your design.
To step up version is an added and the simple Cucumber Crush fern from the Botanical Builder Framelits tucked behind the flower.
While they get so much enjoyment from our stamping day – I really am the one who is blessed by them. Take time to bless someone day today and you will be amazed!
