As long as one can hold a stamp you are never too old or too young to stamp! My Nelson Gables Residents are proof of that. Dice the women on my right (your left) use to attend classes in my home that I held and often attended a workshop hosted by her friend. She still loves to stamp and hasn't lost her touch. She is often my helpful assistant.
Stampin at the Gables if often the highlight of my month and I know I will still be stamping when I am their age?
I can't imagine a life without stamping!
I often use up retired colors of designer paper and embellishments. Since I don't sell product to the class attendees they aren't disappointed that the item is not available to purchase. While the patterned paper and button on this card is retired you can easily substitute each of those with items you have on hand.
Both cards use the Flower Medallion Punch which is a current item in the Stampin' Up! Catalog. It coordinates with the Crazy About You Stamp Set also a current item. I choose to use the New 2016-2018 In-color Sweet Sugarplum as all the women love anything pink!
We all know how disappointing it is sometimes to find a card online or pinterest and the stamp set or paper etc is retired. That is where our creativity come in. As you learn more about casing cards from our Thursday Border Buddies "Just in Case" series you will find it easier to substitute items you have on hand to create some of your favorite cards even if you don't have all the elements shown on the sample.
Be sure and come back Thursday to see what card I am CASEing this week!
