Today's Border Buddies CASEd* card is from page 133 of the 2016-2017 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. My card is a perfect case this week except for the stitching around the very vanilla cardstock. While my mother taught me how to sew, and I will admit I am an excellent seamstress, however it is not something that I find relaxing!
This quote isn't for me – I would need to be on antidepressants if I sewed often. But thank heavens I found stamping. I just need to have a saying "The best antidepressant is a room full of stamps, paper and ink!
Many years ago when our Son had a men's clothing store I actually gave him my sewing machine for him to make quick alterations. When sewing on cards first became popular I mentioned maybe I would buy a new machine for sewing on cards and I got the LOOK from my hubby. LOL.
My mother was an avid quilter and loved to sew. Not only did she collect fabric but she also collected sewing machines. She use to pick them up at garage sales and thrift stores – bring them home clean and oil them up. She would often give young women who were interested in sewing a machine. When she passed she had over a dozen different sewing machines. So I did pick out and keep one.
Here is my CASEd* card. You can download the FREE PDF Tutorial with Images, supply list, measurements and instructions. Just my way of saying thanks for visiting my blog.

You can see it looks amazing with that little stitching around the Very Vanilla. I almost took out the sewing machine today to give it a try – but thought I best wait till I had more time and not on a deadline. So stay tuned you never know I might start sewing on cards in the future!
