It’s Border Buddy Saturday and it’s Alison here this week!
When you live in a rain forest like I do in Vancouver it rains sometimes. Not as much as people think! The funny thing is that most people who live in Vancouver don’t actually use an umbrella unless it is an absolute downpour or you’re standing outside on a soccer pitch (which by the way is in January here!). Having said all of this I absolutely love the Weather Together with the matching Umbrella Weather Framelits dies. IF I had to use an umbrella I’d love one that looks like these pretty pink ones!
The framelits include the little “edging” pieces so you can add some fun detail to your umbrella. I added a Rhinestone for some bling to the top of each umbrella. The Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Series Paper is one of my new favourites and I used it for each of the “brellies”. Can you imagine if real rain was Melon Mambo? LOL
- 12 sheets, 2 each of 5 double-sided designs, 1 each of 2 single-sided designs with foil
- 12″ x 12″ sheets
- Basic Black, Gold, Melon Mambo, Whisper White
There are lots of lovely sayings in the Weather Together stamp set. I choose “sometimes we all need shelter from the storm” which is a lovely sentiment for someone who needs a little cheering up!
I also thought the name of this set describes the relationship Patsy and I have – we definitely weather a lot together! And we sure have fun doing it. Recently we both earned the next Stampin’ Up! incentive trip to Thailand in July, 2017. I’m sure we’ll get into some shenanigans together.
Less than 1% of all demonstrators earn the incentive trip each year.
When Patsy and her husband Tom visited my husband and I in Vancouver in the spring we took this picture to motivate each other to earn the trip!
