Today's card features the Flower Shop stamp set. I chose to purchase mine in wood as I typically punch it out so I don't really need to know or see exactly where I am going to stamp it. Stampin' Up! has three different types of stamps: Wood-Mount, Clear-Mount & Photopolymer.
I am excited to inform you that in the upcoming Occasions Catalog, some stamp sets will come in all three for you to choose from. How will you decide?
Here is some information that might make it easier for you to decide.
Wood Mount are a high-quality red rubber stamp which come with farmed-maple wood blocks you can mount these on permanently so they are ready to go when you are.
Clear-Mount Stamps are made of the same high-quality red rubber as the wood-mount stamps, but they're re-positionable. You mount these temporarily on *clear acrylic blocks, then remove them for space-saving storage. You'll only need one set of blocks for all your clear-mount stamps using them over and over again.
Photopolymer Stamps are entirely transparent for perfect image placement, and they adhere well to our *clear acrylic blocks
*(blocks sold separately).
Would love to have you share in the commnets which is your favorite to stamp with any why!
My favorite type of stamp is wood mount, by far. I feel it gives the best image. I own a few sentiments in clear mount (possibly only 2 or 3), and the only reason I bought them is for easier placement. I do not like the photopolymer at all. I don’t seem to get as crisp an image. I also don’t always like having to search for blocks, especially if I need more than one of the same size. The wood stamps are all ready to go. I hope that, in the future, Stampin’ Up! Will offer stamps with more than one choice. There were a few stamps in the holiday catalog I would have loved to own but will not buy photopolymer. I could go to a competitor for that, but love the rubber that Stampin’ Up! offers.

Thanks a bunch for sharing Carole, I like you wood has been my first choicethe photopolymer are growing on me. I like the ability to see through them for two step etc. Stampin Up!s photopolymer are so much nicer than some on the market as they seem to hold the ink well and with a bit of practice I am getting great stamped images. My wish is to have them in both options! Keeping my fingers crossed.

I prefer Clear Mount. I like to see where I’m stamping. In fact I’ve removed most of my stamps from their wood blocks. Takes up soooo much less storing space! I use Tack’n Peel (Tsukineko) on one side of my acrylic blocks to hold those stamps. I do wish SU clear mount would cling better to arcylic blocks. I LOVE the quality images SU designers create! The rubber stamps give a crisper image. Thank you for spuring on my creative juices with each blog!!

Susan if you havent tried our photopolymer you will for sure want to. They give an amazing stamped image, my customers cant believe how much better they stamp than the acrylic clear stamps they have purchased from other places. I too wish the clear mount clung better and keeping my fingers crossed Stampin Up! is working on that. Thanks for sharing always love to hear what other people love.
