Each day is filled with special memories. The Hawaiian Luau is one of them. We were greeted by lovely little hula girls and they placed Kukui Nut Lei's around our necks. Men received dark ones and women received light colored ones. They are wonderful keep sakes.
They had local crafters booths were we could learn to make Lia's, sample Poi (that is one dish I won't be adding to my list of favorite foods), woodcarvers, coconut huskers, quilters.
Do you ever meet someone and it feels like you have known them your entire life? That is how I felt when I meet Heather, we were on the 12 hour Grand Island tour on the 2nd day. We have emailed since we got home and I know we will be life long friends.
Most of my life my friends have all been tall, Tom says that's not hard when your only 5'2" tall. I have always been short next to Tom, but you can imagine how small I felt standing next to retired NBA Basketball player Thurl Bailey. Thurl Bailey is one of the Board of Directors of Stampin' Up! Often times we are blessed with his beautiful voice. You can check out his music click here.
Anyone who placed a Hawaii Sale order was invited to a special make & take night, unfortunately I came down with the flu and for one of the first times in 11 years I had to cancel the event. I wanted to share the make and takes I had planned for this special evening. You can click on the pictures to make them larger to view.
See you tomorrow for our final day in Hawaii!
