As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator one of the things we get to participate in is cards swaps. Here is the card I designed for the Advisory Board Alumni Swap. It works kind of like this…
- I created 40 cards exactly alike.
- Mailed them off to the Swap Host by a specified date.
- Swap host sorts out one of each participants cards.
- Mails 40 different cards (one of each participants) back to me.
This is a great way to get a variety of cards for samples to share with you. It is also a great way to get more inspiration. Sort of like a pot luck of cards.
Today's card is created using the Sealed with Love stamp set by Stampin' Up! featured in the New Occasions Catalog that comes out in just a few days, January 4, 2017.
The patterned paper is from the Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack. The stacks are 6" x 6" and contain 48 sheets of patterned paper, 6 each of 8 double-sided designs.
Both the stamp set and paper are part of the Sending Love Suite. Stampin' Up! puts together suites of coordinating products to help take the guess work out of selecting the crafting items you will need for your projects. With the bold designs and traditional colors of the Sending Love Suite you will find these the perfect ensemble for your Valentine paper crafting.
The embossed background is Falling Petals Embossing Folder also from the 2017 Occasions Catalog. I thought it looked like tiny hears and would add a nice touch to my Valentine's card.
I will be sending this card to my "Uncle" Robert (my Dad's cousin) and his lovely wife Lorraine for Valentines Day. Since my father's passing 11 years ago Robert has been my mentor in life. The one who gives me praise and makes me feel what I am doing is worth while. He often says how proud he is of me an my business and is so encouraging. He turned 94 this past year and I am so grateful he does email so we can chat back and forth often. Just like I am grateful that I can share with you via my blog stamping. I have been sharing Stampin' Up! for over 18 years now and while the mode of sharing has changed a great deal the basic, Stamps, Ink and paper remain the staple.
Do you send out Valentine Cards? Why not create some this year and show your love across the miles to someone who is important to you.
