Each Thursday my Border Buddy Alison Solven from Canada and I share a card on our blogs that we have CASEd from the catalog. CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit). We like to show you how you can use the paper crafting projects in the Stampin’ Up! Catalogs to inspire you!
Today's card features Varied Vases stamp set and the coordinating Vases Builder Punch. I love when a stamp set has a coordinating punch so easy to grab and go.
When you CASE, you can copy it exactly, or selectively edit it by changing the colors or the stamp set or both. Today I used a different color palette and only changed up the ledge the vase sits on using a die from the Stitched Be Mine dies.
Simple Stamping Steps & Measurments
- Fold a piece of So Saffron Cardstock (side fold 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" or 4 1/4" x 11" for top fold) in half to create the card base.
- Adhere one piece of So Saffron Cardstock (3 3/4" x 5") tipped a bit to the card front.
- Stamp the flowers in So Saffron ink on the So Saffron Cardstock (3 3/4" x 5") and adhere it at a tilt the opposite from the first one.
- Glue the doily to the card front towards the right edge.
- Cut out the Stitched Circle from the Stitched Shapes Dies using Garden Lane Designer Paper and adhere offset to the doily.
- Cut a 3" strip of Crumb Cake cardstock using the die from the Stitched Be Mine Dies
- Glue the piece to the lower edges from the stitched circle.
- Stamp the vase in Melon Mambo and punch out with the coordinating punch and adhere to the top edge of Crumb Cake Strip with dimensionals.
- Stamp the leaves in Tuxedo Black on Old Olive cardstock and punch out with the punch and adhere to the inside of the top of the vase.
- Stamp the stem in Tuxedo Black.
- Stamp the Orchids in Tuxedo Black on Whisper White and cut out with paper snips. (I know we love punches in dies LOL).
- Adhere the orchids to the top of the stem with mini dimensionals.
- STamp You Are Simply The Best! in Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper White Cardstock and cut out the "you are" and "simply" "the best" and adhere the cutouts to the right of the vase with dimensionals.
- Color three rhinestones with So Saffron Stampin' Blend Dark adhere to the center of the orchids.
