Today's Technique How To, from the past is Paper Piecing. This technique can add some unique interest to your card. In my original post I mentioned how I looked forward to the McCall's magazine each month with the Betsy McCall the paper doll? Paper Piecing can bring you back to those old familiar times.
For today's card I used the Beautiful Moments stamp set. It was fun picking out some paper to create their dresses. The paper I choose came from the Well Suited Designer Series Paper package. while it is great for masculine cards there are some fun more feminine options also.

I love creating custom ribbon using the Crinkled Seam Binding (151326). So easy to make I just took my Poppy Parade Stampin' Blend Dark and colored the ribbon. Because the blends are alcohol based they dry almost instantly.
Summer is just around the corner and I look forward to putting out toes in the sand. I vow to spend as much time as I can doing just that! While we had a mild winter it seemed incredible LONG!
Patsy, I love your card! It makes me wish I lived closer to a lake. However, I don’t. Besides that as I am writing this, the snowflakes are drifting down and covering everything in sight. The weather man predicted just enough snow to cover the ground. Right now, we have probably got a good 1.5″ – 2″ of that white fluffy stuff. Brrr!

I do feel very blessed being able to live on the lake on land my grandfather purchased in the early 1900s. The same land my father grew up on and I grew up on. I havent moved too far LOL. It is not the time of year we want to see snow. Thank You for your kind words about my card and thank you again for the lovely Birthday Card.
