It's Thursday and time to CASE another card from the catalog. Each Thursday my Border Buddy Alison and I CASE a card and share it with you. If you are new to my blog or stamping CASE is a term in the stamping world that means (Copy And Share Everything).
Today I chose to Case a card from page 172 of the Annual Stampin' Up! Catalog. Instead of using the Magical Mermaid set as shown on that page, I used the mermaid from my new Magical Day stamp set
Today's color combinations
The Magical Day stamp set brings out the child in me. Let your imagination run wild as you create some fun hand stamped cards for kids or for a friend there is a kid inside all of us.
Notice the little clear Epoxy Shapes randomly placed on the card creating a look of waterdrops. Except for the stamp set is it almost an exact CASE.
Often times when I am creating a card I stamp 5-10 more just like it. Since coming up with the idea is the most difficult why not use it more than once. I know stamping friends who don't like to make "assembly line cards" and just like to create a one and only.
Are you a multiple card creator or like the card sentiment "a one of a kind"?

I am more of a multiple card creator. I like to use outline stamps–the kind you can color in–and stamp multiple pieces of cardstock and take them (and watercolor pencils and aqua painter) with me to Dr. appointments or places where I have to sit and wait for someone. Then I can color and feel productive.
Cute card. Love the shading. Thank you for sharing your time, talents, and inspiration with us.

It is easier and more productive to create several at a time. Love the idea of taking things with you while you wait.

I should make multiples, that is a good idea it helps to save time. I will do that for my Easter cards, I plan to do some watercoloring too. Did you color in the mermaids? Pretty colors.

I tend to do one at a time. I do not have a lot of people to give them to. From time to time I will get a set that has a few stamps of the same scene and I will make up a set with the different stamp and the same background, or vice versa I do same stamp with a different background.
I love the out line stamps also. I love to color them in. Great therapy!
This year I am going to make calendars for everyone and add a card to each, or use our stamps to color in, do watercolor or whatever technique I am working on and try to make up scenes for each month. Doing this allows me to get more use out of the stamps.
Love your cards! Blessings! Lisa
