Reinker Spread was a neat technique that demonstrator, Crystal French shared several years ago. It can add great interest to any outline stamped image that you use when making your handmade card. Here, I used the Secret Garden Stamp Set and embossed it and then used the reinker spread technique to give color to the flower. This weeks video will show exactly how to do this technique, starting out with an embossed image. If you have never embossed let me show you a few steps below, before you watch the video. All supplies shown are Stampin' Up! As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator you can get any of these paper crafting supplies at my online store.
The image in the video I used Versa Mark and Clear Embossing Powder. For this tutorial I used classic ink so you could see it better. (You can use classic ink to get a colored image, but, you need to work very quickly as the ink dries fast).
Ink Pad – Clear Embossing Powder – Heat Tool
Pour the Embossing Powder over the stamped image, then tap the powder off.
Heat image with your heat too, till it looks a bit glossy, let cool.

I just put re-inkers on my shopping list for next week. It’s going to be a long list!!
I love this technique, brilliant results. I’m glad I found your blog through, I think, YouTube.
Eveline.
Thanks for this technique reminder! I just found a card sample I had used for a Diva swap that I am planning to use for a class! What perfect timing! Great minds think alike! 🙂 Now I’ll have directions to share with them as well!
I see color strips on the little well area at the bottom of your ink pad in the “stamp image” picture shown above. What a great way to use the labels from the new foam pads to show what color you ink pad is when it is being used. How clever.
Got the little tip about the color insert in the pad from http://www.stampingschool.com Linda always great stamping ideas and tips.
What a lovely card!
I totally forgot about this technique, your card is amazing. Love you and see you soon. Hugs, Di
