Today's card is using a fun fold called the Book Fold. I guess because it looks like a book inside when you open it.
This is the inside of the card. I love the bright colors and the little Lama guy has the most amazing smile. It might be a little hard to notice the Piñata hanging from the top of the center fold.
I stamped the cards using my favorite stamp set (right now) called the Birthday Fiesta, Fiesta Time Framelits and Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper.
My color palette was Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry, Emerald Envy, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie and Tempting Turquoise
Because it would take to long to write out the directions and often times seeing is best I created a stamping video tutorial showing you how to make this card.

This is the front of the card and what a surprise when they open it up. While ever birthday card I send is not this many steps, once in a while it is just fun to go all out. I saw this cute little Piñata idea on pinterest. Love all the inspiration there is there.
Now that I think about it I should have made this card into an anniversary card. Tom and I are celebrating 41 years today!
Here are the supplies used to create this card.
WOWZA girlfriend – this card is beyond stunning. LOVE IT!
I never planned to buy this bundle but….. WOW. The card is just so fabulous. Thank You for the wonderful video.
this card was so much fun to make!!! not the video – lots of technical difficulties – but I go through it LOL.
I don’t think my Border Buddy Alison did either LOL but who can resist that Lama’s smile.
Love this card! I feel like I’m at a fiesta!
I feel that I am at a Fiesta every time I stamp with it – so much fun!
I love this concept. Wonder what other sets woukd be goid for this book card?. Humm?
You could adapt most any stamp set let your imagination run wild- it wouldn’t have to be as dimensional as mine. Here is a link to another idea http://tinyurl.com/bookfold using the sheltering tree stamp set.
