Welcome to Sunday Sketches by Stamps to die For.
Each Sunday I post a card sketch along with a card I created using the sketch. Sketches often help get my creativity fired up.
Sketches are open to interpretation. You can create a card exactly using the sketch layout, using a square where there is a square, or you can change it to a be a circle, or oval or flower etc. You can also turn the sketch so if it is a vertical sketch you might want to turn it to be horizontal.
Let your imagination run wild!
I would love if you use the sketch to stamp a card that you would share it on Facebook Page, just take a quick photo with your smart phone (doesn’t have to be fancy) and upload it to my page https://www.facebook.com/stampstodiefor/.

Don’t you just love the little jar jack-o-lanterns! I absolutely love the Jar of Love Stamp set (Annual Catalog) and now the Jar of Haunt set (Holiday Catalog) that coordinate with the Everyday Jars Framelits. The brick paper is from the Halloween Night Specialty Paper collection and the card base is Perfect Plum Cardstock.
The the enamel dots at the top of the tag are from the Halloween Night Enamel Dots, they come in the Stampin’ Up! colors of Perfect Plum, Old Olive & Pumpkin Pie.
The jars are tied up with the Halloween Night Baker’s Twine which comes with two spools one is Basic Black & Basic Gray and the other one is Basic Black & Pumpkin Pie.
I sponged around the pumpkins just a bit with Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink to give them more dimension.
Last fall we took a trip out to North Carolina to visit Linda & Matt Heller. We meet over 10 years ago on a Stampin’ Up! incentive trip and have enjoyed many more together. While stamping brought us together our friendship goes way beyond stamping. The Carolina’s were beautiful in the fall and we hope to visit again sometime.
Less than 1% of all demonstrators earn the incentive trip each year.
When planning the trip we really didn’t thing about our timing – Every October before Halloween we have a annual pumpkin carving day with our Son and Daughter’ families. Our kids had one request and that was that we get back in time to carve pumpkins.
We made no promises but cut our trip short a few day’s and arrived home in time for our Annual Pumpkin Carving Day.
Paul our son was taking the picture so here is one of him with is son carving their pumpkin. I think the “big” kids enjoy it more than the little kids.
Traditions are such an important part of life and I am sure glad we started this one so many years ago. What are some fall traditions you have with your family or friends?
Loved your card. I must order this stamp set and framelits. Thanks for sharing this cute card.
Not sure where you live, but you must go through the New England states. They are just beautiful at this time of the year.
