Its Thursday's Just in CASE Series.
Alison and I both CASE a card and share it each Thursday. One of the fun parts for us is we don't know until you do which card each other has cased.
CASEing COPY AND SHARE EVERYTHING is when you pick out a card and either copy it exactly or change up the stamp set or colors or maybe even both, but if you go too far you are then creating your very own card and just are inspired by the card or project you started to CASE.
The More you CASE the more you learn to be creative so there is nothing wrong with CASEing!
Today's card is and exact case and can be found on page 104 of the Stampin' Up! Annual catalog. There are so many great stamping ideas in the catalog that it is not only a book of the products available to you, but also a great tool for inspiration.
My colors might be a bit different than the sample. It is hard to tell as photography lighting can be so different from picture to picture. And remember Stampin' Up! has professional photographers and cameras.
The sample in the catalog is to show case the sentiment from the Suite Sayings stamp set. I love the variety of fonts used in this set and also how many occasions the sentiments cover.
Today's card is going to a very special person in my life our Daughter Danielle she turns 36 today. She is the most amazing daughter, wife and mother to her 4 wonderful children. Happy Birthday Sweetie!
This stamp set was first featured last winter in the Occasions Catalog and I am so glad it came out in the Annual catalog with the great versatility of this set.
The flower stamp set used in the card is from Flower Patch stamp set on page 150.
It has a coordinating framelit called Flower Fair. We all love the framelits and punches so there is no fussy cutting. For this card I cut out the Flower and one of the leaves to give it a bit more dimension.
The color palette for today's card was…
- Melon Mambo for the large cutout flower
- Pink Pirouette for the small flowers
- Old Olive for the leaves (the solid part is off stamped once).
- Smoky Slate for the sentiment
- Old Olive Bakers Twine
