CASE = COPY AND SHARE EVERYTHING
Each week I pick out a card from the catalog and either copy it exactly or change up the stamp set or colors or maybe even both. When CASEing if you go too far, you are then creating your very own card and have just been inspired by the card or project you started to CASE.
Many of you have shared how you love when I use a different stamp set when I case, so today I switched up the stamp set and the colors used in the card.
I chose to use the dancing women from the Beautiful You stamp set. Then I used the watercolor pencils and a blender pen to color her in.
I took some of the burlap ribbon and cut the side off and then pulled strands of burlap to place under my sentiment.
Added some sequins and enamel shapes for a little extra splash of color.
For the inside of the card I wanted to use this stamp but didn't want the comma or the gorgeous so I masked off the words. You can use a marker and just color the words you want – but I like how I can get a better stamped image when using an ink pad.
Covered the comma and the gorgeous with post it notes.
Inked up the stamp with the post it notes in place.
Removed the post it notes and stamped.
So my sentiment is just Happy Birthday (without the gorgeous). Love adding a little bit of washi tape or a strip designer to the inside of my card to give it a little extra pizzazz.
