Sunday Sketches is making the second round. A year ago I started the sketches and decided that it would be fun this year to recreate a new card using the original sketches.
This week is SS002 and I choose to use the Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper and coordinating Birthday Friends Framelits Dies. The dies are designed to cut out some of the images in the designer series paper. On this card, I cut out the little girl from the paper and also the flag. The "It's your big day!" sentiment from the Birthday Delivery stamp set was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad and then cut out using the coordinating framelit.
The base of the card made using Pacific Point cardstock which is part of the Stampin' Up! Brights Framily. The Brights are part of the Stampin' Up! core colors and each year they add some amazing In-Colors that are good for 2 entire years of creative fun.
The oval was cut out of Whisper White cardstock using the Layering Ovals Dies and Big Shot. The little girl was placed on the ovals using Stampin' Dimensionals to give it some great depth.
The strip of Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper is 1-1/2" x 5-1/2" and adhere to the card front 1/4" from the bottom.
This is a very quick and easy card also known as clean and simple in the stamping world. I love simplicity for most of my card making.
Be sure and check out the original post and see the difference. Have you created any cards using my Sunday Sketches? It's never too late to give it a try.

I really like the idea of using the sketches. The card is adorable. The cardstock is bright and cheery. The little girl holding the cupcake looks awesome popped up on the stitched oval. Thank you for sharing your time, talents, and imagination with us.
