Wishing you the best this Christmas Eve, we always celebrated Christmas on Christmas Eve when I was a child. It was such an exciting time. We would start out with dinner then off to church for the candle lighting service.
Somehow Santa always knew when we were at church because he delivered our packages then. He had lots of stops to make, and it lightened his load to get ours to us early.
Before I am off to celebrate, I wanted to be sure I didn't miss sharing with you this week's Sunday Sketch SS013.
Today's card features the Sweet Cupcake Stamp Set and Cupcake Cutouts Framelits, and I paired it with the Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper.
The card base is Sahara Sand cardstock which makes a great neutral background. The piece of patterned designer paper (1-3/4" x 5"), Pick a Pattern, mostly features the Flirty Flamingo color with a touch of Crushed Curry, Emerald Envy and Sahara Sand.
And it seems almost every card I make uses one of the Stitched Shapes Framelits and the Big Shot these days, not sure how I ever got along without that set.
The cupcake sleeve is stamped three times.
- Stamping the #1 stamp in Crumb Cake Classic Ink.
- Stamping the #2 stamp in Sahara Sand Classic Ink.
- Stamping the #3 stamp in Sahara Sand Classic Ink off stamped once.
Off Stamping is when you ink up the stamp and stamp it on a piece of scratch paper first before you stamp your project.
The Frosting was stamped three times also.
- Stamping the #1 stamp in Flirty Flamingo Classic Ink
- Stamping the #2 stamp in Flirty Flamingo Classic ink off stamped once
- Stamping the #3 stamp in Powder Pink Classic Ink.
I cut out the "wish" using Emerald Envy Cardstock, the wish framelit from the Cupcake Cutouts Framelits and the Big Shot and applied it with the Fine Tip Glue.
I just love the look of two-step stamping.
Topping off the cupcake with some Iridescent Sequins using glue dots to hold them in place. In the upcoming 2018 Occasions Catalog that goes live on January 3, they have some fun adhesive back sequins making them effortless to apply.

Oh, yum! The cupcake looks good enough to eat! Maybe I am just hungry. lol The card is beautiful. Love the stitched rectangle and the sequins on the cupcake. This Christmas I will not be observing any of the family traditions. I will be missing my mother. This will be my first Christmas without her. (She passed away in March of this year.) We did put up a tree and decorated it with all of her homemade plastic canvas ornaments. I hope you and yours have a very Merry Christmas.

So sorry about your Mom. My Mom passed in 7 years ago in December. The first Christmas is the toughest but you never stop missing them.

I think this is my all time favorite cupcake set. And the sequins are a quck and easy and so affordable embellishment. They go a LONG way.
