When creating the image for our Color Without Borders color combo today I just couldn't pass up creating a snowman and what set could do it best? The combination of the Swirly Bird stamp set and Swirly Scribbles thinlits is a perfect choice!
Alison and I each create a card using the color combination for our Color Without Borders post on the third Thursday of each month. A color combo is designed to give you a starting point for your hand stamped card. If you would like an endless supply of color ideas, visit the Color Palettes site.
I think I have embossed more in the last month than I have in the last several years. For the background, I embossed the circle splotches from the Swirly Bird stamp set randomly.
The snowman was embossed and then cut out with the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies.
The bow tie is really one of the pieces of the kite from the stamp set stamped in Melon Mambo Classic Ink on Melon Mambo cardstock and cut out by hand.
For the little ear muffs, I used the swirly flower from the stamp set.
To connect the ear muffs I cut out a circle then took a bit smaller circle framelit and placed it inside the previous cut circle and ran through the big shot again. Then I cut the circle in two and adhere the muffs one to each side with a dimensional.
We have not had many snowmen making days in Minnesota. It has been almost too cold to snow this winter.

I had seen this several times on Pinterest and made one last winter and couldnt resist trying it heat embossing the circles. One of my favorite color combinations too!
